Clinical data including residual visible tumor (VT%) on surgical specimen and Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumor (RECIST) were retrieved . Of 693 patients affected by primary MFS and UPS, 233 were treated by neoadjuvant chemotherapy (naChT) or radiotherapy . VT% was ≤5% in 13/46 (28.2%), 24/99, and 40/88 (45.4%) patients, respectively .

Predictive factors of long‐term follow‐up attendance in very long‐term childhood cancer survivors
Five-year CCS treated for a solid tumor or lymphoma in Gustave Roussy before 2000, included in the FCCSS cohort (French Childhood Cancer Survivor Study) were invited to a LTFU visit . Factors associated with attendance at the clinic between 2012 and 2020 were estimated using logistic regression analyses . Clinical (tumor characteristics, cancer treatments, late… Continue reading Predictive factors of long‐term follow‐up attendance in very long‐term childhood cancer survivors

American Radium Society Appropriate Use Criteria for the use of liver‐directed therapies for nonsurgical management of liver metastases: Systematic review and guidelines
Abstract The liver is a common site of cancer metastases. Systemic therapy is widely accepted as the standard treatment for liver metastases (LM), although select patients with liver oligometastases may be candidates for potentially curative liver resection. Recent data support the role of nonsurgical local therapies such as ablation, external beam radiotherapy, embolization, and hepatic… Continue reading American Radium Society Appropriate Use Criteria for the use of liver‐directed therapies for nonsurgical management of liver metastases: Systematic review and guidelines

The protective role of postoperative radiation therapy in low and intermediate grade major salivary gland malignancies: A study of the Canadian Head and Neck Collaborative Research Initiative
The objective of this study was to examine the utility of postoperative radiation for low and intermediate grade cancers of the parotid and submandibular glands . A multivariable, marginal Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was performed to quantify the association between locoregional recurrence (LRR) and radiation therapy . The marginal probability of LRR within 10… Continue reading The protective role of postoperative radiation therapy in low and intermediate grade major salivary gland malignancies: A study of the Canadian Head and Neck Collaborative Research Initiative

A phase 2 study of neoadjuvant chemotherapy plus durvalumab in resectable locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
Abstract Background Patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell cancer (HNSCC) are treated with surgery followed by adjuvant (chemo) radiotherapy or definitive chemoradiation, but recurrence rates are high. Immune checkpoint blockade improves survival in patients with recurrent/metastatic HNSCC; however, the role of chemo-immunotherapy in the curative setting is not established. Methods This phase… Continue reading A phase 2 study of neoadjuvant chemotherapy plus durvalumab in resectable locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

Outcomes after definitive radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer in a national health care delivery system
Abstract Purpose Accurate information regarding real-world outcomes after contemporary radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer is important for shared decision-making. Clinically relevant end points at 10 years among men treated within a national health care delivery system were examined. Methods National administrative, cancer registry, and electronic health record data were used for patients undergoing definitive radiation… Continue reading Outcomes after definitive radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer in a national health care delivery system
