First detection of crucial carbon molecule

For the first time, scientists find a brand-new coal element in outer space. The molecule, also known as methyl cation( pronounced cat-eye-on )( CH3 +), is significant because it helps to form more intricate carbon-based molecules. A cometary drive called d203-506, which is 1,350 light years away in the Orion Nebula, was found to contain methyl cations in a fresh star system.
