On Jan 9, 2024, major US societies representing radiation oncologists, including the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO; Arlington, VA), the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO; Temple Terrace, FL), the American College of Radiology (ACR; Reston, VA) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO; Alexandria, VA), declared a partnership that aims to reform Medicare payments for radiation oncology and broaden access to high quality care for patients with cancer.
