“I have had Parkinson’s [disease] for about 10 years now”, says Ian Temple, an ambassador for and dancer with Dance for Parkinson’s, a regular event designed and delivered by English National Ballet (ENB) at six locations around the UK. “[The disease] is relentless in its attempt to isolate me and my sense of who I am. I hid myself from the outside world for a long time, trying to conceal it. I was ashamed”. Temple talks passionately about his transformational experience after joining Dance for Parkinson’s.
